The brewery is is a 15bbl, 2 vessel brewhouse designed specifically for Deep River Brewing Co. The brewery is located at 700 W Main St in downtown Clayton, NC, with plans to open in late April of 2013. We strive to use locally grown raw materials for our beer whenever possible.

CellarMonk’s “Featured Brewery” for the month of April is Weisses Bräuhaus G. Schneider & Sohn GmbH. Commonly referred to as Schneider-Weisse, this brewery has a heritage dating back to 1872. The beer produced by this brewery are standard bearers in their style and are known the world over. Schneider-Weisse History Schneider Weisse was founded in 1872 in Munich by Georg I. Schneider. He was a royal brewer (at the time, only the monarch could brew this style). As wheat beer came out of fashion, the king decided to sell the right to brew wheat beer. DuClaw Consecration
One sip of this medium bodied hoppy American brown ale and you will dedicate your soul to its pursuit. Sweet and rich malt flavor with notes of chocolate, caramel and nuts, are balanced by an equally intense hop prescence, a citrusy aroma and a 5.5% abv. Blessed be this ale.

DuClaw IV
IV exhibits a deep golden color (just a bit darker than Bare Ass Blonde) a rich malty flavor and aroma, and a respectable 7% abv. This German-style Maibock is part of our “one-off” series of beers. Brewed specifically for the spring time, this brew has plenty of rich malt flavor and boasts a clean, slightly sweet finish.

DuClaw Retribution
First brewed in 2011, Retribution, our classic imperial stout stays true to the style’s origins. Retribution pours jet black with a small tan head and full body, and boasts a swirl of dark chocolate, coffee, smoky malt, and fruit flavors, and a lingering, warming alcohol presence (10.5% alcohol by volume) well concealed by its big bold flavors. After fermentation, Retribution was aged inside of bourbon barrels made from charred American oak and carefully monitored for 6 months before being bottled in numbered runs from individual barrels, making the beer from each barrel a unique experience.
