Galway Bay Brewery
Going from strength to strength Galway Bay Brewery started life when friends got fed up of the beer scene in Ireland and decided to do something about it… In 2009, they opened one of Ireland’s only brew pubs, The Oslo Bar in Salthill, Galway, a seaside town on the West Coast of Ireland. From a pretty simple brew kit they produced two beers that went straight from conditioning tank to tap… Over ten years and three moves later Galway Bay Brewery’s new home in Oranmore, just outside Galway, gives us the space, light and freedom to expand and experiment… With a a core range of seven beers and monthly releases…

Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Imperial Dark
Every year on the 24th of February, we celebrate the birth of Charles Quint. Therefore we brew a special beer in limited edition called Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Imperial Dark (‘Grand Cru of the Emperor’). This exceptional ale ages well, developing a refined complexity and intense aromas. With powerful notes of roasted malts, caramel and plums, its surprisingly soft and fruity aroma combines a warm roundness with a refreshing taste. An imperial brew to cherish and enjoy in moderation.

Maxim Brewery
To brew the best beers possible requires the best brewery equipment available. Our 20 barrel brewery equipment was previously at the Canongate Brewery on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. This was Scottish & Newcastle’s pilot brew house and as you would expect, was built to a very high specification. Indeed, it remains probably the best equipment of its size anywhere in the UK today. Our flexible Brewery with its special Lautering system allows us to brew between 3,000 and 17,000 pints per day and importantly ensures that we can maintain the highest quality and guarantee a regular supply of cask, keg and bottled beers to the drinkers…
