Product Notes
Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel, launched in 2010, can be described as a rich beer, intensely dark and resounding in flavor. The aroma is spicy and elegant with light toasted keys.
Brewed with a sophisticated blend of special malts get the beer a complex character, which combines a pure dryness with hints of coriander, dark fruit, anise and roasted chestnut. The finish is slightly syrupy. Thanks to the fermentation in the bottle is a living beer taste evolution has created a number of years. Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel combines well with chocolate desserts.

Aroma: Of sweet molasses with notes of raisin, fig, plum and just a touch of fruity hops.
Look (Appearance): Almost black with a ruby red hue. It has a thick off white head that leaves a great lace.
Taste: Very close to the same as described in the Aroma. Very complex mix of the raisin, fig and plum and sweet molasses flavors. A slight hop bitterness on the back of the tongue that doesn't last.
Mouthfeel: Clean and dry. Very full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel.
Second Look (Overall Opinion): Another great strong Belgian ale. At 11% this is a treat to have, but I will have only one. The lacing on my glass makes me want to travel back to Belgium and experience these quads in person once again.
