Elixir Take 5
Take 5 is a 5 hop black Elixir, stuffed with new world hops. Featuring American Cascade, Nugget and Simcoe, Australian Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. A 187 IBU and 7% ABV this is definitely not a scooper! It is, however, brewed for thought with a great interplay between rich, dark malts and a pile of the best hops we could get our hands on! It would have been difficult to physically fit any more in the boiler to be fair.

The Elixir Brew Co. is a collaboration between two mates. Barry has worked in the hospitality industry for 17 years and for the last 9 as Manager of the award winning Cloisters Bar in Edinburgh, supplying some of the finest cask and keg ale around. It was here that he met Ben, resident beer geek and experimental home brewer from Fremantle, Western Australia. After some time spent overcoming the language barrier they bonded over the three B’s, Beer, Banter and & male pattern Baldness.

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Brendan Moylan wears his colors close to his heart. In honor of the 150th Anniversary, and as a alumnae of St. Mary’s College, Class of 1983, he has created and will share Moylan’s Brewery & Restaurant’s Gaelebration Ale with fellow beer lovers. Brewmaster Denise Jones combines Centennial, Cascade and Ahtanum hops to make a crisp American pale ale. At 5.4% ABV, the Gaelebration Ale is perfect for watching the game or enjoying the company of others. It is sold on draft at the bar, in 22 oz. bottles, 64 oz growlers, 5 gallon kegs. Go Gaels!
