The original Mordue Brewery was situated on Wallsend village green and run by Joseph Mordue, a brewer of distinction in the 19th Century. In 1995, over 100 years later, two brothers revived Joseph Mordue’s superb ales, their range of beers gaining both local and national awards. We strive for our beers to stand out from the crowd so we are constantly developing new methods, exploring new and sometimes unusual ingredients and introducing big, fresh ideas. We produce a big range of natural beers, as we feel they offer enhanced mouthfeel, aroma and flavour too. Yes the natural beers don’t look clear and bright, but why should they?
