User reviews
Aroma: Aroma of spiced bread mixed with toffee. No discernible hop aroma (initially). Very inviting.
Look (Appearance): Reddish amber with a off-white rocky long lasting head. Very good lacing. Good clarity.
Taste: Complex flavors of again spiced bread and toffee, followed by a citrusy (lemon) hop punch to the back of the tongue that doesn't linger too long (it makes you want to take the next drink be reminded of it). Caramel roasted grain as it breaths out. Just a slight hint of alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is spot on. Medium bodied, moderately creamy.
Second Look (Overall Impression): I am definitely going to have to go back for more of this beer. Having just this one available will not allow me to fully explore this brew. As the beer is warming, things are changing. From the aroma to the mouthfeel to the very complex taste. I am sure that after a few more of these I MIGHT have the entire readout of this beer. For now I will enjoy this one and head to my local bottle shop for more. I highly recommend this beer and suggest buying more than one to get a complete understanding of this beer.
