Brouwerij De Halve Maan

Brewery De Halve Maan is the only active family brewery in the center of Bruges. The Crescent is located in the heart of the historic city and offers welcoming accommodation. 

With  Xavier Vanneste , winner of the Award The Bridge Chen Beer in 2008 and repeatedly gekuurde entrepreneur, blowing in Brewery De Halve Maan a young dynamic wind. Under his leadership, in July 2005 the real Bruges' beer on the market - The Bruges Zot. It is a traditional golden or brown beer of high fermentation, with the best ingredients? Like czech ic hop to it a rich taste to give. The name? Bruges Zot? is the nickname that Maximilian of Austria ever gave the locals, when she asked him for a new zothuis and he claimed that he had seen Bruges only fools and that this in itself is a zothuis was.  

Late 2008 bought the brewery market name Straffe Henry back - a beer by the grandfather of Xavier, Henri Maes and his daughter Véronique was coined. The beer is now following the ancient recipe of 20 years ago brewed and sold.
