    Paul is descended from 3 generations of independent drug-store operators, hence the brewery name. Using knowledge & hindsight gained from the last 200 years of industrial brewing, he strives to create beers that embody the spirit of the last 2,000 years of cottage and farmhouse beer; unpredictable, wild, and totally independent.

    Beer is our thing! The ethos of the pub is to support smaller, independent breweries, which is reflected in our British only cask, keg and can line up. Enjoy beer from London breweries such as Hammerton (Islington), Five Points (Hackney) and Brixton, alongside regular favourites such as Bristol Beer Factory, Magic Rock (Huddersfield), Siren (Berkshire), Burning Sky (East Sussex), Moor (Bristol) and Waen (Powys). The pub boasts 10 cask pumps (8 beer, 2 cider), cared for and conditioned by our passionate cellar team, with a CAMRA stamp of approval as Pub of the Season Autumn 2014.
