Just had a heavy meal. Soup and cornbread and needed something on the lighter side to finish off the evening with.

Aroma: Malt breadiness with a citrusy, straw aroma.

Look (Appearance): Clear gold/yellow with a 1 inch head that fades very quickly and leave little to no lacing.

Taste: Somewhat malty taste with a bit of citrus on the swallow. Very little bitterness either on the swallow or lingering. Not crisp like I would expect from this style.

Mouthfeel: Because of the malt character, this has a medium body with medium carbonation. Again, not what I would expect.

Second Look (Overall Impression): Not sure what I was looking for in this beer. I think I was expecting straight German Pils sharpness. I would have to classify this in my "craft beer gateway" category. That is not an indictment of this beer. This beer is not off-putting, it is just not one that would be near the top of my must drink list. A very decent craft beer for anyone looking to move away from "macro" pilners and try something a bit more creative.
