The creation of Duke Premium Lager was inspired by our brewmaster’s childhood recollections of his father and grandfather enjoying pure, European lagers on the back of the family sailing boat in Hawaii. And drinking Duke Premium Lager will all but take you there. Duke Premium Lager is a filtered lager boasting the classic flavours of continental European beers. The hop and malt characteristics are finely balanced, providing a clean, refreshing palate with a superb dry, crisp finish. And the luscious, foamy head will last all the way to the bottom of the glass.

As our brewery is located onsite, customers will experience beer at its freshest, coming straight to the bar taps from the tanks. All of Blue Sky’s handcrafted beers are unpasteurised and brewed naturally, giving a distinct depth of flavour and fresh taste not found in mass-produced beers made by larger commercial breweries. Choose from a variety of beers, including seasonal specialty brews and local’s favorites, with alcohol ranging from 3% to 6%. We source the finest malts, yeast and hops from around the world and combine with pristine Cairns water to produce truly premium beers that compete with the world’s best.

Mountain Goat Beer Surefoot Stout
It’s a robust, malt-driven ale combining four Australian and imported malts plus some flaked barley for good measure. English Goldings hops are for bittering to balance out the malt sweetness. Goat Brewer Dave sums the stuff up well. “thick, rich, soft burnt-malt flavours with a chocolate/licorice nose and burst of coffee in the back palate…don’t be afraid to drink it warm (8c is good).” It’s the ideal winter warmer!

Mountain Goat Beer Organic Steam Ale
The Steam is a crisp, certified organic ale. We incorporate some wheat malt in the grist make up and ferment it cool. We use Hallertau adn Citra hops along with a light dose of Galaxy flowers at the end. This is a conservatively hopped beer that comes in at about 28 IBU’s. Great as the weather warms up. 4.5% ABV.
