Brewery Notes

Yachats Brewing and Farmstore was founded by Nathan and Cicely Bernard. It is located in the heart of Yachats, on the central Oregon Coast. The structural shell of the building was built as a bank in 1965. This building has transformed into a thriving, productive center for food, beer, and culture. Using almost entirely salvaged and reclaimed materials, the space overflows with the stories of each piece. The place now has polished concrete countertops, old growth bar top, timber post and beam, wine barrel furniture. Remnants of it’s logging roots backdrop the vibrant color, texture and flavor of locally grown produce, pasture raised meats, hand crafted brews, and house fermented vegetables. Our Saurkraut, Kim Chi, and Garlic Dill Pickles bring living food fans from far and wide.

Since opening its doors in July 2012, Yachats Farmstore has become a reflection of its place; having a unique character and sharing the culture of the coastal village and inland farms with the community. The Summer of 2015 brought the addition of Yachats Brewing and the flow of hand-crafted beers. Head Brewer Charlie Van Meter and Brewery Operations Director Jenna Steward are off to a great start. Their experience and energy brings a diverse selection of excellent new beers celebrating the unique beauty and culture of Yachats, Oregon. We were brewing a variety of very small batch beers on our 20 gallon pilot brew system until May 2016 when our 7 barrel custom brewhouse was ready. Please join us at our tasting room in Yachats to try the latest rotating selections.
