Brewery Notes
At Kew Brewery we’re as passionate about the environment as we are about beer – not surprising given our proximity to Kew Gardens. We make our small batch, hand-crafted beers using renewable energy from Good Energy and the finest English ingredients: our malt and hops are all grown in England, not just because they taste and smell great, but also because this minimises our ‘food miles’. We want to ‘rehabilitate’ and showcase English hops, to show they can compete with New World hops for flavour and aroma if used the right way and in the right quantities. Our beer is unfiltered and unfined, keeping it natural, flavoursome and suitable for vegans (well, perhaps not our milk stout…).
Our commitment to sustainability goes further: we donate 5p from every pint sold to our favourite environmental world-land-trust-logocharity, the awesome World Land Trust: saving threatened habitats worldwide, acre by acre. Not only do our beers taste great, but every pint you drink saves 21 square feet of critically endangered forest.
