Craft beers and real ales saw a massive growth in popularity with people worldwide in the past 20 years with independent breweries striving to create authentic and unique real ales, thus spurring 3 like minded ale enthusiasts with great LOCAL ethos to parent Bude Brewery.

Bude Brewery was established in 2011 and after months of cups of coffee, arguments, recipe changes and tasting we decided to stick with one theme…LOCAL thus naming all our ales after iconic parts of Bude and the surrounding areas. Once full production of our ales started we soon developed and FIERCE reputation for EXPECTIONALLY tasty traditional ale and began to make our mark on the forever growing craft beer and ale market.

Our brews are crafted with unique characteristics to accurately represent the individuality of the local landmarks they are named after such as BlackRock with its roasted dark chocolate textures or SummerLeaze with its fruity summerful citrus aromas. All of our ales are brewed using fresh, traditional, high quality Cornish ingredients with traditional brewing techniques. Once brewed they have to embark on the long journey that is our quality control tasting process.

Our quality control process truly represents our passion for real Cornish ales as it means every brew, bottle or cask which leaves our brewery is of the highest quality. It’s not just a job for us, its a commitment to push the boundaries of brewing and try different things, in order to create that ‘one of a kind rocking barrel’
