Waste beer left at the bottom of an empty cask or overflowing into a drip tray.

Not fully fermented. Remaining "worty" character.

Subtle nuances, aromas and flavors of beer. Having flavors or components of wort or wortiness. (see worty)

Unfiltered beer is naturally slightly cloudy because it has a higher amount of minerals, vitamins and trace elements.

Bottom-fermented beers are produced with yeast. After fermentation the yeast sinks to the bottom of the fermentation vat.
