I am a big fan of black lagers.

Aroma: Aroma is sweet with roasted malt and dark chocolate and perhaps coffee.

Look (Appearance): Deep mahogany in color with slight off white/tan head. Head retention is minimal.

Taste: Of roasted malt and chocolate with a bit of coffee on the exhale.

Mouthfeel: A creamy mouthfeel (almost slick) with moderate carbonation. Not bitter.

Second Look (Overall Impression): A very good Sunday afternoon beer. Light enough that you will not feel full after the first one, but with the right amount of body to satisfy the palate. This is a very good beer to start with if you are unfamiliar with black lagers.
