Brass Castle is an independent Malton-based Yorkshire brewery and Britain’s best brewer of vegan and gluten-free craft beers. We mash grains, boil hop charges, pitch yeast, rack into casks, seam cans, serve great beer and do an awful lot of cleaning – right in the centre of Yorkshire’s Food Capital. Brass Castle Brewery’s house yeast does its work in five fermenters and the staff clean up after it. The overall result is an ever-changing range of beers and beer styles that garner awards in all quarters, while finding their way around the UK and beyond.

Lennox, an ancient region of Scotland founded in the middle ages, incorporates much of today’s East and West Dunbartonshire, including the beautiful Loch Lomond.​Brewed on the banks of the River Leven, our beers are crafted to traditional recipes by our own fair hauns. We are inspired by the rich local history of our area, and the raw ingredients that our country provides. We brew our beers using as many locally-sourced products as possible.​Beers should be great, not bland. Every beer we produce has been fine-tuned to give the drinker the ultimate taste experience. Ballykilcavan Farm has been the home of our family for 13 generations. We have lived and worked here since 1639, and diversification has always been important to keep our farm viable for future generations. When I took over Ballykilcavan from my father in 2004, my sole motivation was to try to sustain it so that someone else would be able to take it over from me. After farming here for 10 years, it became obvious that just growing barley wasn’t going to give the security that I was looking for, and so we started to look at alternatives.
